getdns-utils software package provides modern asynchronous DNS API (utils), you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install getdns-utils
getdns-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the getdns-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep getdns-utils *
You will get with getdns-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
